24 Karat CakeThis is my default desert nowadays. I've had it maybe 15 times. The cake itself is fairly heavy, dense and rich, not fluffy. What I find unique here is the cream cheese icing, which- SURPRISE!- tastes like cream cheese, not sugar. I just found out the there is a new carrot cake to replace the one I reviewed. I have also heard it tastes different so the old review may not apply.

The new one is exactly that ... rich, thick, delicious. It tastes so fresh it's better than bakery cakes I've had. The cream cheese frosting is perfect.

Is this cake found in the frozen food section? I couldn't find it in the store.
In five years, when I am as big around as a house, and am having cardiac difficulties resulting therefrom, I will say it is because of this cake, and I will also say it was worth it.

It's really good carrot cake, but very dense- not fluffy at all. The cream cheese frosting is delicious!

This is the best carrot cake I've ever tried. I introduced this to a friend who didn't even like carrot cake... She ended up wanting seconds. Completely fabulous.

Did TJ change the recipe or just the box design? I never tried the previous version, just this new one. For me carrot cake is usually just a vehicle for cream cheese frosting, haha, but this Karat Cake was highly recommended so I finally tried it. So moist and soft! (Be sure to fully thaw to appreciate this) And the cream cheese frosting is heavenly, just the right amount of tang. I would rather have this than chocolate cake!
