Cranberry Panettone

Cranberry Panettone
This is a very Italian traditional airy, doughy cake with candied fruit and berries typically eaten for breakfast or dessert.

Trader Giotto's Cranberry Panettone lives up to the taste, texture and aroma of a fine panettone. It's made with creamy french butter and chock full of cranberries with some candied orange pieces.

I love panettone and must say that this is the moistest one I have had in recent years (they tend to be dry.)

It's made in Piemonte, Italy, and costs $6.99. Each cake is about 12 servings at 300 calories and 12 grams of fat each.

Note this is a seasonal item for the holidays.

use the bread for french toast. tastes great and no need for syrup.
I do not normally like Panettone ,, but this was moist and lite , but even more then that the cranberries give it that little twang that sets the items apart.

If you enjoy cranberries you might really like this

The cranberry version is more moist and flavorful. I just toasted slices of panettone and served with mascarpone cheese for breakfast. I think this would be a great for a bread pudding.

made great french toast!
This Panettone makes the best bread pudding using Ina Garten's recipe (off of Food Network website) & also great French Toast! Yummy!
I've looked all over for a comperable panettone and can't find one. Anyone know of a cranberry panettone to buy out of season?

Can you imagine never having had this ambrosia-like experience? It was a gift at Christmas from my brother and since it had such a long shelf life, it wasn't until March that we opened it. Fabulous is all I can say. And I'm a choosey sort. A wonderful gift or hostess present. You can't go wrong with Trader Giotto's Panettone.
for Panettone Bread Pudding that she makes in muffin tins. She also puts egg nog in the egg batter. My sister made some last Christmas and it was soooooo good!
