Tuscan Pane

This GIANT loaf of bread usually only lasts about 3 days at our house. It makes the most amazing toast I have ever tasted! It toasts nicely while remaining slightly chewy. has a very slight sourdough taste but not too strong. Because it has many holes it may make for a messy sandwich. But it is worth getting just for breakfast. It cost just over $2 at our TJs. Bread is fat free and 120 calories for slightly more than a slice but they are huge. Try with earth balance margarine for a yummy treat.

I agree with the other comment, I wake up craving this toast.

I love it toasted with some Nutella spread over it...yum!
But my favorite use is to make panini's with it. A little messy (because of the holes). I often make corned beef with sauerkraut and swiss panini's on my grill pan and also turkey with roasted red peppers, red onion and other goodies. My kids love it.
This bread makes the best Monte Cristo sandwiches and also the best French toast ... holes and all! I always make extras to heat up the next day in the toaster oven. It tastes even better as a leftover. A real treat.
