great with brown rice

I love these with TJ frozen brown rice. I always add extra veggies because there is plenty of sauce.

love the sauce!

The carrots were tough and tasteless in the batch I tried.
Loved the sauce. Would love to be able to buy the sauce alone.

I tried this dish several months ago and have been a major fan ever since. I am a true foodie by trade, and this stands up to all of my requirements - healthful, great combination of veggies, and the sauce, well - it is amazing. This is a keeper and a must buy!!

Love the ideas for the extra sauce

I did notice in the last package less vegies and more sauce so I will def. remove a few of the sauce patties and save for other dishes. I disagree about soggy vegies another person commented on. Make sure you prepare these right at the end of your cooking prep as they only take a little while to prepare (less than 10 mins) DIVINE...my husband who doesn't like vegies, loves this dish!

Add extra veggies

When I make these I often add some extra frozen green beans as there's more than enough sauce and this way it serves more people.

This is the best frozen vegetable mix I've ever tasted. The sauce is incredible and there's usually so much left over, that I'll add a drained can of new potatoes or whatever veggies I have on hand to bulk it up. Fabulous to drizzle over chicken, too. YUM!

Delicious to add some kick to your meal

I usually serve these with something neutral, chicken breasts, etc. The sauce is the kicker. If the sauce is too overwhelming you can remove a few of the little patties that melt into sauce and reserve them for another meal. Also, I believe the directions don't require cooking for very long at all. May be why the previous poster's turned soggy?

not soggy at all!
Reviewed by kalikaliente, 2007-11-29
they are fire roasted/ same as veggies would taste oven roasted, on the softer side, my suggestion is defrosting a little bit before placing into skillet, that way you can cook lighly and enjoy the taste

Love Love Love These!

Hubby had seconds of these, and he almost NEVER eats seconds of vegetables. Furthermore, he doesn't care much for any type of vinegar, so I was surprised he went back for more! However, I didn't tell him that there was balsamic vinegar in the sauce, and as far as I know he never knew it. I loved these, too, and took the spoonful that was leftover to work for lunch the next day. Yummy!

I love saving the butter medallions and using them for tossing with pasta, rice or other veggies. I always keep a bag on hand to stir into quinoa or rice for a quick meal. I also like tossing these in the oven for a few minutes with roasted potatoes.

These are so good. I think if you found the vegies too soggy you may have cooked them too long, I think they only take 10 mins or less. I always do them last when I'm putting together a meal. The mushrooms are even firm if you cook them only the time stated.

Add tofu
Reviewed by leenk, 2008-02-19
I added a box of extra firm tofu (cut into cubes and just cook them first in a bit of oil until golden) to this and it was fantastic! The tofu are like little sponges that soak up the excess sauce. Great topping for rice and noodles.

I just tried this tonight, and it's wonderful! It's even fine as a meal in and of itself, though there's a little too much sauce (I'll have to try putting it on rice, or maybe some good bread to soak it up). The sauce is, of course, delicious. I'd swear these vegetables were roasted on a grill in my own backyard, they're that fresh-tasting.
