Pollo Asada

The package contains a few sliced breasts of chicken marinated in a delicious lime marinade. Throw it on the grill and serve atop a fresh salad with mesclun, jicama, and corn (with TJ's cilantro dressing), or use in enchiladas (I just add TJ's Mexican blend cheese and a tub of fresh salsa, with a little Salsa Autentica - no extra spices necessary) or fajitas, and you have a fast meal!

i felt that the flavor was lacking something... the chicken did grill up tender and tasted good with salsa, but it needed something to round out the flavor and i'm not sure what it is! oh and one other thing -- the package says the chicken is thinly sliced but it just looked like boneless breasts to me. they're pretty big.

It cooked up tender and delicious, but needed some extra salt, for me, and the breasts were not nearly as thin as I thought. They were pounded, but still fairly thick. I'd buy it again anyway.

used these on the propane grill to make fajitas. for some reason didn't taste "fresh" and didn't have as much flavor as i would expect for marinating so long. good in a bind.

for those who love this but think it's lacking a little, you're right. I've found the secret, in any major grocery store you can find by "GOYA" little seasoning packets called "Sazon con culantro y achiote" it's basically a hispanic seasoning that has a little bit of salt, cumin paprika and everything else, sprinkle a little on the chicken before cooking and my goodness it's better than what I can make myself from scratch!

...but inconsistant.

The first couple of times I tried it, it was lean, spicey and memorable. The last few times, it lacked the bite and was a bit fatty.

I will continue to buy it but would like to know what to expect.

We use both the Pollo and Carne Asada for fajitas on the grill and I love them. I preffer them in the larger chunks so they don't fall through the grill grates.

I've purchased this twice and both times did not disappoint. I basically put it on a grill pan with some sliced bell peppers and onions and it was done in about 10 minutes. You have to turn it a couple of times to get even cooking but other than that, it couldn't be easier. It made 4 VERY large and perfect fajitas!

Tried these for the first time the other night and these are really good. Nice combination of flavors. Good all on its own with a side of beans but would also be great in fajitas, burritos, tacos, just about anything I suppose!
