| Harvest Grains BlendPopular |
A savory blend of Israeli style couscous, orzo, baby garbanzo Beans and red quinoa, it's hearty, healthy and absolutely delicious. The texture and taste is slightly nutty and complements any main dish, especially with some fresh chopped parsely. You can also mix it with shrimp or scallops for a tasty and simple meal. It's ready in about 15 minutes and each serving has just 1 gram of fat (if you don't count the tablespoon of butter or oil directions call for.)

Harvest Grains rocks

I've already gone through several bags.
It's very versatile and complements fish and beef.
I've carmelized onions and then thrown in some sliced brown mushrooms until soft. Then added the chicken broth and grains. It was fantastic.
Another time, I had about 1/3 c. of regular orzo that I wanted to use. I threw that in with the mix, and cooked it all up at once. It was fantastic, and the addition of the orzo gave it a different texture.

Great combination - but a bit bland

I just tried this last night and it's a great mix of flavors, but I thought it needed a boost of salt, onions or garlic to make it really special. I made it with chicken broth instead of water.

i'm a crew member in the tri state area and i have to say this is my favorite grain product to hit the shelves! i usually add a dash of salt and butter after and toss on our grilled chicken strips for a one dish meal. this is totally worth trying!

Grains Reign!

I use TJ's Organic Vegetable Broth in place of the water, substitute olive oil for the butter, toss in onions and celery, and shut off the heat after it re-reaches the boil. I finish it with Mediterranean Feta Crumbles (from guess where?), and it's great. I'm on my 10th bag...

Awesome Blend

Just like any grain it needs to be "jazzed up". This is a great blend to use for soups too. I use the Garden Patch (TJ's version of V8), add the harvest grain blend and add the frozen organic mixed veggies at the end {plus a dab of red chile flakes:)}

Great Base for Dinner

I use chicken broth instead of water and omit the butter. After the grains are prepared, I add fried tofu, green onions, broccoli (or whatever veggies I have on hand), TJ's Toasted Slivered Almonds and add Asian or Teriyaki sauce for flavor and some red pepper flakes to give it a kick. Easy, delicious and nutritious dinner!

This is a great product. There are so many textures to experience in each mouthful! It's so easy to dress up, too. I like to use a combination of veggie broth (there's a new broth concentrate on the shelves...look for it), lite coconut milk and some chili garlic sauce in my rice steamer. Then I use it as a base for a quick stirfry with some marinated tofu and the Greens With Envy mix. Awesome!!!

I really enjoyed this and will buy it again. It yields plenty of servings, it suggests making half of the bag with 1 3/4 cup broth or water, and I'd say you get a generous 4 servings from that. The orzo makes it creamy, the baby garbanzo give a delicious full nutty chickpea taste, and I loved the crunch of the quinoa. I had it with steamed fish, tomatoes and feta.
