This has got to be the best bbq sauce I have ever had! No other sauce even comes close to the bold and sweet taste that this sauce posseses. Sadly, when I last went to Trader Joe's, this sauce was unavailable in Sept 06. One of the crew members said that it could come back, but is temporarily discontinued.

i loved this sauce as well and held onto the last of it as long as i could. unfortunately, it's gone -- and i got the same answer from the person at our trader joe's... no telling when the KC bbq sauce will return... :( i suggest going to traderjoes.com and letting them know how much you LOVE it.

I agree that this sauce is excellent. My uncle used to bring in some homemade stuff from a friend of his who made very large batches of his own recipe and sold it to his friends and family. Kraft Foods bought the recipe from him and he was no longer allowed to bottle it for sale, even to friends and family. But this Trader Joe's KC style sauce is the closest thing I have tasted to that magical stuff my uncle used to get. Fantastic on everything but exceptional on Chicken and ribs. It was readily available at my new store in Morgan Hill. Fire up the Grill!!!
I grew up on Bull's Eye. Now either my tastes changed or the brand did, but the brand now tastes too smoky to me. My mother and I have the same taste in BBQ sauces, so I asked for her recommendation. Thank you, Mom! TJ's KC BBQ sauce is now my new standby. It's not too sweet, not too smoky, not too tomato-ey, and most importantly, not too spicy. I like that it comes in a GLASS bottle, but still, I wish the screw top were better designed. You have to wipe the screw top part before putting it away or else it cruds up. It's a minor quibble though.

This is great tasting sauce, you can really taste the molasses. It is a little thin though,so dont expect it to cling to meat like sweet baby rays or some other brand of sauce. Its thinner consistency does make it good for marinading and dipping.
Great sauce! I love BBQ ribs and this sauce is "killer"! I love to go to Sticky Fingers for their sauces. I found out they put MSG in them. So, I was happy this one didn't! It does not need anything enhance this. Now TJ's need to expand and make a spicier ones for the brave souls who love a little kick.
