Traditional Thai Lime & Chile Peanuts

These peanuts are great. I stayed away at first because I assumed Thai would be very hot but they aren't really. Spicy but not unbearably hot. Really it is more an explosion of a lot of flavors--chili, lime, citrusy lemongrass, black pepper. These are great as a snack or with drinks.

I wasn't a fan of these. It was more a mixture of saltiness and lemon-ness with a touch of spicy-ness. I would stick with the Honey Roasted Peanuts.

We add these to thai inspired dishes like the panang curry over rice (especially when mixed with peanut butter like someone suggested.)

I could see adding these to a Szechuan chicken stir-fry to add some texture or simply munching on them and chasing it with a Smuttynose IPA - because they have a decent kick (watch out for those chili peppers!).

I always have these stocked at home after I first tried them last month. If you eat the peppers themselves, they are too hot for some people, but the peanuts and the crisp lime leaves are perfect. It really tastes like quintessential Thai lime. I hope this one isn't discontinued one day!

I really like these -- just discovered them, after purchasing the cashew version several times before. I just had a wonderful salad, with spinach, ground peanuts, and shiitake/sesame dressing (which TJ's unfortunately discontinued, but Annie's still makes.) Can't wait to add them to curries and noodle dishes.

I am addicted to these! At first I wasn't convinced but the flavor grew on me and now I can't stop eating them. I buy them every time and haven't gotten tired of them yet. BTW they aren't great on noodle dishes, tried them in Pad Thai but they are best just eaten by themselves.

If you like the taste of spicy soap, then this is your nut. Ate 3 peanuts and just couldn't stomach it. I would not recommend.

I like hot spicy food but these nuts are saturated with oil and the lemongrass added a freshly mowed grass texture and taste. I did not care for these. Maybe it is an acquired taste?

I finished a handful and was about to tell my husband not to bother as he said these are really good. I guess it is just a matter of taste. I know it was at my house...

Had these last, actually in Thailand, and have looked for a substitute in the States, finally I have one. These are identical to the ones I had over in Thailand, just the right amount of spice and in a big bag, I bought 2...well played TJs, I'm stocking up

Much to my disgust,I haven't been able to buy these in a month! The manager at my store in Danbury,CT told me they are not being made any more.

These are so good in a Thai-style noodle salad, great for snacking. Yeah, they have some heat -- just avoid the chilies. The lime leaves add a wonderful flavor. Please, please bring these back!!!
