Palaak PaneerThis is a really good twist to the authentic version of this indian dish. It consists of a slightly thick spinach stew with pieces of mild indian cheese, the flavors are very robust with a little heat. I like to add more texture to it by adding sauteed fresh or even cooked frozen spinach in it along with shredded carrots or peas. Serve with rice, tandoori naan and a little indian relish and theres a perfect meal.Submitted on 12/17/2007 by kalikaliente Number of people who have "favored" this: 0 Read all 5 reviews below -OR-Add your own reviewReviews (5)

I love this dish in restaurants, but this version pales in comparison. It's not bad, but I wouldn't choose it again since I love the other varieties much more.

I couldn't even bring myself to eat this... The spinach is the consistency of baby food and the "paneer" pieces tasted of nothing.

Someone already mentioned the consistency is very similar to baby food, which is an apt description. Flavor is bland, but at least it seemed like I was eating something healthy. I ended up throwing out the rest of this after only a few bites.

This is my favorite of all the stews, i prefer this version, it has the right amount of spice and is very filling. I always stock up with a few boxes, cause we go through them quick.
