My TJs has also had supply shortages of the frozen brown rice. What I've been told is that the manufacturer was hit hard by Hurricane Katrina and are trying to get back to pre-hurricane levels of production but aren't there yet. They send what they can when they can. So as a result, basically the rice gets snatched up as soon as they get a batch in, as everyone is beginning to hoard it now. Hopefully they will get back to normal soon but for now, expect shortages to be pretty common.
