All I did was vent the plastic cover and bake it for 25 minutes. I wasn't expecting anything special. I was also half-expecting mystery meat of some kind. As the review above states, it was full of high-quality lean beef that tasted very good. I was surprised and pleased that what amounts to an upscale TV dinner, could be so satisfying. Definitely a great back-up dinner for those nights when you really don't want to lift a finger in the kitchen but you know a bowl of cold cereal isn't going to cut it (I have many of those nights).

My husband and I tried the Lemongrass version last weekend and polished off the entire box. The sweet thai flavors are obvious but not offensive. I do end up baking these for double the amount of time recommended on the package (I turn them over halfway through the baking process). They turn out crispier this way. I paired it with a 50/50 concoction of plain lowfat yogurt and TJ's Yellow Curry Sauce...it was the perfect dip.

I love McCann's Steel Cut Oats but who has time to stand over the stove for 30 minutes in the morning? These frozen oatmeal hockey pucks (which initially struck me as totally unappealing) are a great quick n easy second best. As many have pointed out, the hockey puck can use a little something extra. I add an additional 2 tablespoons of milk, 1 teaspoon of maple syrup and a pinch of salt after I pull the bowl out of the microwave. Just one serving keeps my hunger at bay almost until lunchtime!

I don't do trail mix. I don't do cereal with fruit in it. I thought I didn't do dried fruit at all...until I unwittingly tried one of these (from an open bag sitting on a friend's coffee table). Now I'm addicted. I convince myself its fruit so it can't be that bad for me. Given how often I polish off these bags, its good that I have this particular excuse in place. If you love the flavor of cayenne pepper...with a little something sweet, definitely try this.
