I had tried both the peanut and cashew Thai Lime and Chili nuts and found them to be quite delicious with a strong flavor. I was hoping for the same with these chips but I had a hard time tasting anything, the flavor was so subtle. Maybe it was the Thai part that was missing :)
I've only tried it once so maybe I got a bum bag. byhenrys, August 22, 2006
I decided to give this a try because it was so deliciously described in their Fearless Flyer several months ago. Heck, even the little fruit on top of the oatmeal on the packaging makes it look good.
But it was too bland for me as I'm used to soy milk, bananas, and berries in my oatmeal which add to the texture and consistency. To this, I'll add cinnamon, honey or brown sugar (1t) , a banana, and if I'm feeling "berry" a tablespoon of TJ's Omega-3 Cranberries. A pack of 2 costs less than $2. byhenrys, August 22, 2006
I will echo the sentiments of the other reviewers-- this is a great salad pack. I recommended it to a friend who also loved it.
I'll add sliced chicken breast strips to the salad and call it a meal. I recall the dressing having a tangy taste. It had an oiliness to it so I mixed it with Trader Joe's Raspberry dressing which is a little sweeter and not oily to balance it out. $3.99-- it lasts me 3-4 meals (for one). byhenrys, August 22, 2006 |
