The only thing better than a Candy Cane Joe Joe is a chocolate covered Candy Can Joe Joe, which is also on the endangered species list at Christmas Time.

Ultimately it's best these go quickly or I'd eat my weight in them each December.

I want to love these, I really do, but there's something not quite right about them. Even my kids don't flip over them. It's not that they don't like sweets and they love fruit and most things natural, but none of us are thrilled about the texture of them. They're a little too jelly-like and I think we'd all prefer them a little more chewy.

A couple people I know rave about this so I had to try it. I'll take your average mac n cheese from a box over this any day. Even though it tastes closer to homemade than the fake agent orange stuff in the blue box, it doesn't have nearly enough flavor to justify the overload of fat that's in it.

They need to reformulate their sauce to lower the fat (and hopely increase the flavor somehow) before too many loyal TJs shoppers start dropping dead from coronaries.

I'm not one that get in a huge line at a farmer's market or fair for kettle corn; I'm just not that in to it, but I love this stuff at TJs. It's a snack that's not full of a bunch of crud and something I can give my kids while I'm cooking dinner that won't fill them up. It keeps them occupied just long enough to get dinner on the table on the nights they're super hungry. I absolutely love this stuff and could kick myself for not picking up a bag today while I was in the store!

I can't say the same for the "light" version of this. I cannot force myself to eat a mere kernel of the light stuff. Not sure what it is, but it has a nasty, lingering taste.

Hopefully TJs will switch to real sugar, or something other than corn syrup for these jams. I love that it's nice and thick and has a lot of flavor.

The problem I have with pretty much all of the jarred sauces I've tried is the after taste I inevitably have after eating it. I just stocked up on 6 cans of this so I always have marinara in the house for super quick dinners. I simmer some of the meatless or beef meatballs(not the turkey ones, which to me have a weird taste) and some fresh tomatoes (or not!) and I'm set. It's a large can so if we can't eat it all in a matter of a couple days I throw it in the freezer.

After years of experimenting, I've finally found the perfect and perfectly simple 'jarred' marinara!

This was the best deal on a scrub on the planet and I was so sad to see it disappear, like a few of my other go-to TJs staples. Enough with the lavender already!!!!
