I have tried the Indian and the Thai rice bowls and were not that impressed (hardly any meat, mostly sauce etc.) so I was not expecting much from the noodle bowl.
It way exceeded my expectations. It was delicious with lots of chunky pieces of tender white meat, crisp vegetables, perfectly cooked noodles and just the right amount of sauce to compliment without overpowering the dish.
It was very filling ... and the best part ... the nutritional content rivaled that of a "Lean Cuisine"
This is definitely a winner!

It may seem silly, but stuffing/dressing is a very personal matter to a lot of people. Families have their recipes passed down through the generations. Ask 100 people how they make stuffing and you will get nearly 100 different answers!
I think TJ was genius in keeping this mix simple - and then letting you know that you are safe to get creative with it in any way that you like. ... This is really going to appeal to people who are skeptical of a box mix (or people who are on a low sodium diet who are fearful).
This mix is the perfect base! I added sauteed onions and celery and chicken stock instead of water. It was REALLY GOOD! Next time I might try it a different way. That is the beauty of this mix ... it is JUST A BASE!!

This pizza - like ALL the TJ imports from Italy (the thin crust ones baked in the wood burning oven) are incredible!
I can't decide on a favorite, but Pizza Mascarpone is DELICIOUS!!!

To answer Rollo, I do believe this cake is authentic. According to TJ it is made by a "boutique pastry company in Southern Italy." - So at least it has that going for it.
I really thought I was going to love it. I almost talked myself into it ... but after my second slice (on 2 separate days) I knew I had to return it. (I LOVE TJ's return policy!) It just wasn't for me. It was really super sweet and it was missing texture. I 100% agree with the other posters on this one.
The thing is, I hardly ever am disappointed with anything I get at TJ's (there food is incredible!) so I am really shocked when I do get something I do not like. But we really can't expect to like everything.
I would skip this one unless you really love your sweets sweet - and don't mind a cake who's layers are not defined well.
(With the $8 you save, you can buy several different items!)

Went shopping yesterday and they were sampling these meatballs with sweet and sour sauce (I would never in a million years think to combine the 2!!) WOW! They were INCREDIBLE!! I was really surprised. Needless to say I bought 2 bags and made 1 for dinner (with the s/s sauce.) The second bag I am planning on using for hoagies ... but I think you could do almost anything with them. (I might even chop them up and put in my lasagna)
If you haven't tried these, TRY THEM!!

I tried these the other day and I was really impressed. They really do taste home-made. I couldn't believe I actually tasted onion! That is how my family makes them too ... but we add more seasoning. These taste like our "first batch" When we try some to see what they need... But if we really want pancakes and we are too lazy to make them (IT IS A LOT OF WORK!) THESE ARE A GREAT ALTERNATIVE! They are the closest you will find anywhere and after you fry them up, you wouuld never believe they came in a box. They really are good. (I am going to keep a few boxes in my freezer at all times - just in case) Best eaten traditionally with sour cream and apple sauce.
ENJOY!
ENJOY!
