even better is their freeze dried rambutan, but these are great as an alternative snack.
Mangosteen have a ton of antioxidants, but unfortunately these are all in the very dark and very bitter rind, not the white fruit that you eat. If you've ever cut open a fresh one and squeeze too hard while pulling the halves apart, the rind juices coat the fruit and it ruins them. So I think the health claims are bunk! bysdjimbob, September 25, 2008 bysdjimbob, September 25, 2008 bysdjimbob, June 23, 2008 bysdjimbob, July 2, 2007
Just starting buying the shrimp stir fry a few months ago. Now it's always on my weekly list. Whole bag has around 300 kcals I think? From freezer to plate in about 10 minutes tops. The shrimp are good quality, and they're not cooked, which is nice. Can add over rice for a slightly more complete meal.
Love topping this one with a few squeezes of sriracha hot sauce. bysdjimbob, July 2, 2007 bysdjimbob, July 13, 2006 bysdjimbob, April 17, 2006 bysdjimbob, April 17, 2006 bysdjimbob, April 15, 2006
Count me as fan of this one. I didn't see any good way of preparing this dish other than baking it, although I think I might try justbatty's way of preparing it. So far I just bake the chicken, and serve it over steamed rice.
I would disagree that it's overly fatty--compared to the grease dripping orange chicken a la Panda Express or other takeout places, it's actually closer to the healthy side. bysdjimbob, April 10, 2006 |
