Okay I have tried the plain dough a few times and had mixed results , but I think it had more to do with what I was doing then the dough and leardning what works best for it.
1). Forming the dough Like it suggests just let the dough rest for at least 20 minutes 2). then lightly flour a surface , I use a flexible plastic cutting board I got super cheap that came 2 in the package 3). plop the dough on the flour and just flip it around till its covered in a light dusting of flour on all sides 4). Okay now start to stretch the dough , (Suggestion take a moment before you start this and wash not just your hands but your a good part of the lower arm ) I let the dough drap over my fist as I stretch it out and take my time as I work it out. Working pizza / bread dough takes practice and will take more then just a few attempts to make this easy. Cooking suggestions ,, unlike the big pizzeria ,, less is better when you deal with toppings , also a mix of cheeses is possibly better then just moz. TJ has a great Cheese mix of Italian style cheese that are very fragrent , use that in combination with some moz. Also , go lite on any toppings that give off water , like vegetables. bysfbeachguy, December 20, 2006
My suggestion ,,
Meatball Stroganoff use either the this or the meatless meatballs plus easy to make 1). Heat and Brown the balls 2). After the Frozen Balls Meat or Meatless are Cooked just removed from the pan until later 3). Add your pre-diced onions and pre-sliced mushrooms both easy to get at TJ's 4). Add a little butter or like product 5). Then add a little Chicken Stock - using the TJ Stock you can just screw the top back on for the next use 6). Then add a little mixture of flour combined with butter that you combinded until it made fine paste 7). Add a little wine if you wish and then some sour cream 8). Then add back the Balls 9). Season with a little pepper Final Step , and a strong Suggestion Try the Trade Joes , Pappardelle , Egg Pasta with the dish , they are long wonder egg noodles and yes thank God with egg yolks included :) bysfbeachguy, November 23, 2006 bysfbeachguy, November 23, 2006 bysfbeachguy, November 23, 2006 bysfbeachguy, November 23, 2006
I actually stopped buying the Garlic variation not because I do not like it but because I actually like to use the Naan now with various dishes from Breakfast to Dinner.
The Frozen Naan has had the effect that I no longer buy loves of bread any longer. What I do now is just make sure to keep the Frozen Naan in the house so that i can use it with Eggs at Breakfast to Stews and Soups at night. Try both variations , I also tend to bake it longer then the directions say for about 3+ minutes and some times with a flip. Strong Suggest to try this Product or the Regular variation. bysfbeachguy, November 23, 2006
Its more expensive then the other TJ Shampoo but its still a bargain compared to other stores especially considering the quality of the product.
Strong Suggest on this Product. bysfbeachguy, November 23, 2006 bysfbeachguy, November 23, 2006 bysfbeachguy, November 23, 2006 bysfbeachguy, November 23, 2006
Its a great Price and its well made.
Whats interesting about Lasagna is that there are very many different ways of makeing it depending on personal taste and how we were raised. For some its a traditional Italian Style , for some its commerical produced in those huge containers at the market that feed 30. But I would suggest you look at this variation on its on. I would say that its good but maybe not what some would think of as Homemade because its a different take on the recipe. bysfbeachguy, November 23, 2006 bysfbeachguy, November 23, 2006
All I can say is that this is a great product , I love thats its homemade quality and all ready to go cookies that just need a fast 12-15 minutes of bake , then cool then eat.
Heck its less then the cost of buying fresh baked cookies for the 16 cookies that came in the package. Love the idea of being able to just pop 2 , 4 , 6 or all the cookies in the oven at any time. |
