Carrot Ginger SoupI never would have tried this if Trader Joe's hadn't been giving it out as samples one day when I was shopping. I don't like carrots very much, and I thought this soup looked gross. I could not have been more wrong. This is without a doubt my favorite Trader Joe's soup. It just tastes wonderful. I eat it at least 3 times a week. It is also really good with a dollop of plain yogurt added to it.Submitted on 06/25/2006 by haileysqueek Number of people who have "favored" this: 0 Read all 8 reviews below -OR-Add your own reviewReviews (8)

Why make you own soup when you can have this one. I only wish I didn't have to cart it home on an airplane as I live in Canada and have no Trader Joes.

It's definitely worth trying. I like it enough to buy it now and then, but I doubt it will ever be a regular purchase for me. A lite to much Ginger foe me .

I tried this soup alone and it just didn't wow me. I stirred in sour cream and added fresh cracked black pepper which gave it a needed boost. I wouldn't buy this as much as the Corn & Roasted Pepper or the Roasted Red Pepper & Tomato versions, but it's worth a try.

I combined a package of the Thai Ginger carrots located in the frozen section with two boxes of the Carrot Ginger Soup. Just simmer until the carrots are hot. It was a delicious soup worthy of company!

I would never had chosen this soup myself had I not heard great things about it on another site. This soup, to me, tastes nothing like it's name. Nothing like carrots or ginger in my opinon, more like a creamy, spiced, & slightly sweet potato or some other squash soup. I like to add a little cream to it to make it even more silky. Since finding this soup, I never make a trip to TJ's without picking up at least 2 boxes.
