Cha Siu Bao Chinese Style Pork Buns(21 votes) OMG. These are brand new and seriously delicious. Pretty easy to cook - 45 seconds in the microwave under a damp paper towel (in my microwave it's more like a minute). The outer bun part is soft and slightly sweet, with savory pork inside. These are great! The pork has a great flavor and it's packed into a soft,warm bun. Even better when dipped into TJ's Goyza dipping sauce.

I have always wondered how to get good tasting steamed pork buns without paying restaurant prices for them...well now you can steam it in your steamer for 8 minutes and it's not terribly expensive and it tastes great! i'm going to trader joe's right now to buy some more!

These are amazing! Not too sweet, and they don't use that horrific red food dye in their filling like some Chinese bakeries do. Super quick and easy to make in the microwave. I hope they keep these in their lineup for good!

T.J.'s is my fav. store. I do 99% of my shopping there. But I do have to tell you that the Bao are way better at Costco.
Bigger, tastier, cheaper and you get more of them. But I did buy some at T.J.'s last night because I was there.
Like Heartichoke (who sounds exactly like me) I thought they were just okay. I steamed them because I read they could be hockey pucks if nuked. The bun texture was very gummy. I prefer the browned/baked kind, I think. Filling was very good, but I would not buy again.

you might be ok as long as you don't expect them to be too good. a somewhat tasty snack, although quite gummy as others have noted, however they are nothing like good pork buns from a decent dim sum shop.
