These are the only black beans I will eat straight from the can (well, heated up) without adding any additional spices or seasonings. They are delicious on their own, with rice, or in a chili or soup. It's a great blend of spices that is tasty without being too terribly hot.

these are so good, exactly as bee_queen described, im always adding my own spices to black beans but not these, they make a teriffic dish alone or in a soup, i ate some tonight with TJ's chili lime chicken burgers and fresh avocado slices

I have a similar recipe that I make for my family quite often, so I wasn't sure that they would enjoy this. However, it was a hit! I served it with with rice and with fried bananas as the can suggested! A nice quick meal!
I absolutely love these for making burritos and beans and rice, but would love to see a cilantro type (not cumin); call it Santa Fe Black Beans and they could start a new line.
