Easily one of the best ice creams around. I passed on this for a few years at Tj's until an employee recommended it. I've had all sorts of expensive, gourmet ice creams costing much more. This is as good as anything.

I've given up Haagen-Daz vanilla in favor of Double Rainbow french vanilla. (Try it with the Chudleigh's Apple Blossoms!)

This stuff is legit -- and of course, it's about a buck cheaper at TJ's than what you get a Whole Foods

I love this ice cream - and it's a bargain! My hubby still prefers haagen dasz but I think Double Rainbow has a richer vanilla taste.

Double Rainbow ice cream is HEAVENLY.

Can't beat this stuff. Perfect texture and flavor. Double Rainbow ice creams are my favorite.

We need to push TJs to carry more, and/or find other locations that carry this stuff (i'm addicted).

I much prefer chocolate & if I do eat vanilla, I usually load it up with chocolate sauce. But not with this stuff, it's so good, you don't need anything on top. I'm a convert.

This is the best vanilla ice cream EVER!!! I love to break up some of the joe's creme filled chocolate cookies to make my own cookies and cream ice cream. If you can find a double rainbow around where you live, try their cinnamon caramel ice cream. I wish trader joe's carried it.

A couple of MUST notices about this favorite of mine are~~~It tastes almost exactly like the Hand Cranked Ice Cream, from my childhood, that my Grandfather made in his garage every summer! A second HUGE reason why I love this stuff is that it has the very LEAST amount of toxic and nasty ingredients in it, compared to MOST other brands of Ice Cream. NO trans-fats, NO Carmine, NO Aspartame, etc., etc., etc!!! Read your labels, people, and purchase where your dollar will do the least amount of harm to your own, and your children's health!!

They now sell Trader Joe's Premium and it SUCKS! Customer service said same but it is NOT!!!

Send email demanding it returns!

They replace with Trader Joe's Premium and Customer service says it is the same but it is NOT!!! Send emails and demand they return to carrying Double Rainbow today!!

This is my and my husbands FAVORITE ice cream! It is rich and creamy and delicious (sorry, there's no other way to describe it). Even my brother-in-law has driven 3 hours over to have some (he doesn't have a TJs) - it's THAT good! I'm sad - they don't seem to carry it in our area anymore.

While it IS made by DR still, they will wlays modify the recipe a tad to protect their brand.
