Fire Roasted Vegetables with Balsamic Butter Sauce
"Wow!" That's what my husband said the first time I made these vegetables. The bag is a mix of frozen baby carrots, green beans, bell pepper strips, mushrooms and pearl onions with little nuggests of balsamic butter. As the mixture cooks (We microwave it just fine) the butter nuggets melt, resulting in a pool of sweet-tart buttery sauce. A VERY generous amount of sauce results, so most times we wind up dipping whatever is on our plate in the sauce. Sometimes I wish I could just buy the sauce seperately because I think it would make a tasty sauce for Chicken, Fish, Rice...

We also love this and serve it over white rice which absorbs some of the sauce and results in the perfect accompaniment to simple grilled meat or baked fish.

The sauce and variety of vegetables adds a gourmet touch to everyday meals.

Definitely a great product. Sauce makes the vegetables explode with flavor, so you want to watch what you pair it with.

i just made these this weekend--awesome.
after i made the veggies, i scooped them out with a slatted spoon and then made a batch of the TJs artichoke hearts in the same pan. they came out marinated in the extra balsalmic yumminess!
Great flavor here. Nice mix of colors and flavors and textures.

Tastes great and is wonderful over a bed of Trader Joe's quinoa.
All comments so far are spot-on. I made this and was amazed at how good it tasted. Super easy (just open the bag and put in a heated pan) and just let the nuggets of butter/sauce melt and stir. I know it is 'done' when the tomatoes split open with spatula pressure. An amazing product, and put it on top of rice to help absorb some of the juices and sauce. If there were 6 stars this would get it!

These fire-roasted vegetables are a big hit in my household. The only complaint my husband had when I first served them was that I hadn't made enough! Now I regularly prepare two bags. The taste of the sauce is exquisite. You couldn't find anything better in a fine French restaurant. I serve these with everything.
Tonight I served this for dinner with stew meet cooked in a wok style pan. Hubby said it was delicious.

Buy tender lean stew meet (1/2 pound ) and cook on high in your pan until the outside is no longer pink - 5 min. Add the TJ fire roasted veggies and cook on med for 5 - 7 min.

tastes like you marinated it !

Fast too
Why not just take the butter nuggets out and save them for a sauce for chicken or fish? I read someone else did that with the fettucini cheese nuggets.

i used to never go out of my way to make vegetables but with these i definately make an exception! Try these with the Microwavable Pot Roast and some Instant Mashed Potatoes! Looks like you have been in the kitchen all day and tastes like it too!

Well, I tried this some time ago as a side dish and didn't particularly like it- seemed too strong but NOW that I see all the pairings with rice and quinoa etc, maybe I'll give it another try.

Too much sauce and not enough vegetables. I normally love mushrooms but the flavor was off. I will not buy again.

I really think these are great with a pot roast, rack of lamb, or as part of your thanksgiving meal. Biiig thumbs up on this one!
It sounds really great 'fire roasted vegetables w/ balsamic butter sauce', but it was horrible! It tasted like the vegetables you get on an airplane!...and there was definately more sauce then vegetables.

We make these all the time and consider the extra sauce an opprotunity to add extra veggies while cooking. Some great additions are extra carrots, cauliflower and whatever else might be on hand.

Never thought anything could be too buttery, but this was, and I didn't care that much for the vegetable's texture.

I'm not a huge fan of cooked tomatoes, but that's personal - this dish is fantastic! It's a staple at my house with fish and cous-cous. Make sure to serve a starch to soak up the extra sauce; there's a lot!

Had this with seared filet mignon and brown rice...

It has a good taste, but I did find the veggies to be a bit too soggy. Worth a try, but not an item I have picked up since.
