Mix pumpkin and prepared pudding. In a deep, glass bowl, begin layering.... gingerbread, pumpkin pudding mix and whipped topping. Fill ending with whipped topping. Sprinkle the crumbs from the gingerbread on the top as garnish. I love this gingerbread cake and hate that it's seasonal. The trifle sounds fun for the season and absolutely delish.
