Greek Gyro Tzaziki SauceThis Sauce is great on a gyro, but also great served with Trader Joe's pita bread to simply dip as a before dinner treat!1 container of Trader Joe's Greek Yogurt 1 English cucumber, peeled, seeds removed, and grated on the "large hole" grate on your grater. 1 garlic clove, minced 1 T. chopped fresh dill weed 2T.fresh squeezed lemon juice 2T. Trader Joe's olive oil salt & pepper to taste Empty yogurt into a medium mixing bowl. In a clean kitchen towel lay the grated cucumber and roll up squeezing out all the water you can, then add to the yogurt. Add remaining ingredients, and mix well. Place in a container with a lid and refrigerate overnight. YUM! Trader Joe's already sells a Tzaziki sauce. People who shop at Trader Joe's are not looking to create something we already sell. It's just like the customers who are looking for tahini to make hummus. Why are you making hummus when we sell it ready made (and better than anything you make by the way). A more useful recipe would be on how to cook our lamb and then combine it with the Tzaziki and Middle Eastern Flatbread to create a Gyro. Sorry to be so gruff, but this recipe could be applied to any grocery store. There is nothing here that is truly Trader Joe's.

Demo Diva:Perhaps someone wants to use cucumbers from their own garden. Or maybe someone wants to be a little more active in creating their meal instead of taking the shortcut this time. Could be that Trader Joe's didn't have the tzaziki in stock that day, or someone just doesn't like the taste of the Trader Joe's variety. Instead of rating this recipe on the basis that TJ's has a similar product, I actually TRIED it and liked it. So thank you, KyleOM for your contribution:)
