Light BrieA tangy brie cheese with less fat and calories than traditional varieties. My initial thought was, isn't brie SUPPOSED to be oozing with fat? (Think double creme brie melting in some phyllo dough!) But honestly, this is pretty good with crackers and fruit. A good option if you want to eat brie more regularly.Submitted on 05/ 8/2008 by bee_queen Number of people who have "favored" this: 0 Read all 4 reviews below -OR-Add your own reviewReviews (4)

Its actually fairly similar in to the cheap brie at my local grocery...but a far cry from a great double or triple cream brie. Still, not bad for a light.

So it doesn't get all mushy and gushy when at room temperature like a great full fat brie. But it is a great low fat alternative when you are setting out a cheese plate for a bunch of calorie counting folks.

I love brie, but it doesn't love my hips. This is not bad for a light and I'm grateful to be able to have any kind of brie when I'm dieting.

This brie doesn't spread when at room temp, almost rubbery, actually. The taste was missing creaminess as well as just traditional brie cheese flavor. It didn't add anything to my bread/crackers. I'd rather cut calories by eating regular brie or even brie spread, just less often.
