Cranberry Panettone
(22 votes)Rate this listing
This is a very Italian traditional airy, doughy cake with candied fruit and berries typically eaten for breakfast or dessert.
Trader Giotto's Cranberry Panettone lives up to the taste, texture and aroma of a fine panettone. It's made with creamy french butter and chock full of cranberries with some candied orange pieces.
I love panettone and must say that this is the moistest one I have had in recent years (they tend to be dry.)
It's made in Piemonte, Italy, and costs $6.99. Each cake is about 12 servings at 300 calories and 12 grams of fat each.
Note this is a seasonal item for the holidays.

I do not normally like Panettone ,, but this was moist and lite , but even more then that the cranberries give it that little twang that sets the items apart.

The cranberry version is more moist and flavorful. I just toasted slices of panettone and served with mascarpone cheese for breakfast. I think this would be a great for a bread pudding.

I've looked all over for a comperable panettone and can't find one. Anyone know of a cranberry panettone to buy out of season?

Can you imagine never having had this ambrosia-like experience? It was a gift at Christmas from my brother and since it had such a long shelf life, it wasn't until March that we opened it. Fabulous is all I can say. And I'm a choosey sort. A wonderful gift or hostess present. You can't go wrong with Trader Giotto's Panettone.
