Asian Stir Fry Vegetable Mix

Asian Stir Fry Vegetable Mix
This is a 1 lb. plastic container of fresh stir fry veggies for $3.99. It has green and red peppers, broccoli, red and white onions, snap peas, snow pea pods, bamboo shoots, bok choy (though not a lot), baby corn, mushrooms, carrots, and water chestnuts.

This mix is really convenient for a quick, tasty and healthy stir fry and you can pair it with any of Trader Joe's stir fry sauces. We stir fried these with the Ginger Scallion sauce and some cooked Chinese egg noodles and it was really delicious.

The vegetables were all fresh and good, with the exception of some of the snow pea pods which had these tiny unappetizing black bumps on it (do all snow pea pods, I don't know.... I just picked them out.) The mushrooms were particulary huge which was great since they shrink when cooked.

Definitely a regular for us!

NOTE: We served this to someone who does not like peppers, so we took them out. There were A LOT.

I am generally not a fan of prepackaged mixes (salads, lettace, mixed vegetables, etc..) but I have purchased this 5 times and have not been disappointed. I stir fry the veggies with one or two frozen garlic cubes (from the TJ freezer case) and some Island style VeryYakiTeriyaki sauce. It's a healthy meal in minutes.
A great and complete selection of stir fry vegetables. Very fresh although I recommend using it in the first couple of days of purchase regardless of the date on the package. My only complaint is ithat there is a LOT of red pepper and not much baby corn.
