Apple Strudel

I tried this a few years ago for the first time and was underwhelmed. The main problem for me was the phylo dough which came out dry and crispy.
For some reason, I tried it again and with one simple adjustment it came out perfect. All I did was shorten the cooking time by 5 minutes, from 35 as suggested on the box to about 29-30 minutes. Genius. I also make a quick vanilla sauce whenever I buy this as an optional accompaniment.
Final word...excellent. Try it, just watch it in the oven. You can find this in the frozen desert section.

For some reason TJ's suggested cooking time frames for frozen items can be off. Besides that, I loved that the streudel used tart apples and every bite had apples. This is great served for brunch.
