Colossal Shrimp in Garlic and Herbs
These jumbo gulf shrimp are in the frozen section and make a really fancy appetizer. We served them at a party and they were a big hit. They are in the shell, but easily come out with a cocktail fork. They go straight from the freezer to the oven (12 minutes) and taste great.

Next time we get them, we will try them out in a scampi dish and report back.

Great Product
This shrimp is awesome! It tastes like shrimp scampi, but there is NO oil or butter. Whatever is in the marinade is just delicious. I keep a box in the freezer for easy last minute meals - just shrimp, Garlic Naan bread, and maybe some frozen green beans. Really great for a quick lunch.
I just purchased this product, and while there is no complaint about the size of the shrimp or the butterfly cut, I could tell before I put them in the broiler that they did not appear to have much seasoning on them. I had just bought TJ's Lemon and Dill Marinade so I put a teaspoon of that on each shrimp. Plus I had to add salt and butter and more garlic. After all that, the shrimp were well seasoned and went well with the rice pilaf I had made to nestle them into. I will buy these shimp again because they are way less trouble than buying raw whole ones and doing the butterfly job myself,but I'm keeping the extra seasonings handy.
These shrimp were really tasty and came out perfect, not raw, not overcooked. I just followed the microwave directions (as with the hot weather, cranking up my entire oven is a real pain) - put in 7 at a time (there were 14 in the package) for 4 minutes each.
They will really fit into my quest to cut down the meat in our diets, as well as to have quick main courses I can yank from the freezer with no pre-planning.
I served them with steamed Nishiki rice (the ultimate Japanese sticky rice), steamed snap peas, and a few pot stickers to liven things up... and it was still a quick easy dinner to make.

I've used this both grilled and served next to a salad, and I've also used them for Shrimp Scampi. The marinade already on the product is sufficient for a salad, but I've also added shaved garlic and white wine when tossing for scampi, and pulled off the shells just before serving. I keep a box on hand at all times. Very good product.

a bit on the bland side, but tastes healthy and fresh. i make them in my toaster oven, which is very convenient.

I frequently pass these off as my own. My BF asks for my "special scampi" and is amazed I can pull them together fairly quickly ... but only when he isn't at my house when I start. I can't let him see me take them out of the box (which then goes out to the dumpster!).

Oh what a tangled web we weave ...
I made these as an appetizer for Easter dinner this year. I made one box, but they were so popular next time I will get two! I did add a slice of butter to the top of each one while broiling.

I added olive oil & garlic & shallots to a pan, sauteed the shrimp, removed from heat, took shrimp from pan and removed shells (very quickly done), put the shrimp back in the pan and added just cooked spaghetti, tossed the whole thing together and served. WOW! it was delicious!

My only concern: I noticed during clean up the shrimp are a product of Bangladesh. Not too keen on that.

we usually add a little extra butter to each, as another poster suggested, which seems to make them bake better. they're delicious -- we usually have them with just a salad.
