The thicker version of Trader Joe's lotion. I love this product. I have very dry skin. We drive about 80 miles (one way) to go to TJ's, and I have to stock up on this for the winter.
This is an unscented body cream in a pump bottle. It keeps my skin moisturized all day.

I buy a few bottles at a time too, and siphon some off for mini-pumps scented with my favorite essential oils! We keep a bottle near every sink at home! great stuff.

I keep this cream close at hand during the dry winter months and slowly cross over to the lotion during the summer. The lack of scent is great in that there is nothing to grow sick of.

Our local TJ tells me that this product has been discontinued! Say it ain't so.

We're planning to go to TJ's on Saturday, and I was hoping to pick up some bottles of Midsummer Night's Cream to get me through the winter. Maybe there will be a leftover bottle or two in the store. :(
Thanks for the information, Gail! :)

Last week it was out of stock in the TJ store of my neighborhood, but I went shopping there today again, and they had a bunch of bottles this time (both lotion and cream). Are you sure it's discontinued?

Working with paper all day this is the perfect cream to use during the day. It soaks right into your skin. And it is not a dicontinued product.

I was excited to try this when I saw the price, and it smelled (actually there is faint herbal smell) and looked good. But when I read the ingredients, I see it has no mineral oil. The heavy duty (but more expensive) lotions like Lubriderm have mineral oil. I put the TJ on one arm and Lubriderm on the other, and the skin on the TJ arm dried out faster. I just wonder whether the absence of the mineral oil prevents this from being as effective a body moisturizer as those other brands?

I love this product because it has great ingredients, a great price, and isn't oily!
Usually I can't take the heavy moisturizers because they leave my skin feeling slimy, but this stuff soaks right in- it's fantastic!

I work in a hospital and therefore wash my hands upwards of 30+ times a day. I'm always on the look-out for good moisturizers. This one is okay but honestly, after about half an hour, it doesn't last and feels like it needs reapplying. Probably good for normal to dryish skin but doesn't meet the needs of those of us who wash our hands to death.

...I disagree with Jolavi. I had a job that required frequent handwashing all day, and this lotion worked wonders for my hands. I have extremely dry skin, especially in winter. The skin on my back gets very dry at that time. The Midsummer Night's Cream was not available at our "local" TJ's last fall, and my skin was in terrible shape by February. After trying several lotions, I found a suitable substitute, but at almost three times the price of the TJ's cream.

I just noticed that the new bottle of the Midummer Night's lotion/cream is smaller than the original! The original, rectanglish bottle was 18 oz. for $2.49. They must have phased that out, after introducing the product (hence the discussion of whether it was discontinued), to switch to the new packaging. Well, the new bottle, which I bought this weekend is roundish shaped and has only 16 oz. for $2.49. Did they think we wouldn't notice?

I've got really dry sensitive skin and this is a great basic lotion. It really moisturizes and protects. I also love the scent. Yes, I know that it's listed as Unscented, but it has a faint herbal nutty scent that I find addictive. I keep sniffing it. It's probably the safflower seed oil. Fantastic stuff.
