I eat this about once a week over some rice. Heat up the tuna with a little peanut butter mixed in and pour it over hot rice or fresh noodles. Hot and spicy and comforting. Good with a beer or some of that spicy ginger ale!

What a great idea! I have to try it. It makes sense. I think it would go well with the coconut lime flavor.
Initially, I was really skeptical looking at the picture of the fresh-looking meal on the cover (I mean, c'mon, it's a pouch of curried tuna...) but served over rice with cilantro, green onion and the tofu we usually add, it's really delicious and so quick and easy. And it sells for $1.39 no less. Definitely a winner.

This was really delicious.

I was skeptical---the idea of a tuna "tasty bite" struck me as sort of oogie. But on the recommendation of a very picky friend, I gave it a go. Now I'm hooked. This sauce is seriously good, and the tuna is mild. It's especially good over rice noodlles and with green beans added.

Deelish with frozen veggies and sliced tofu over brown rice ... mmm ... having it for dinner tonight, again!

I mix in pineapple chunks, pea pods and cashews before serving this over rice.
I'm going to try Natty's suggestion, but use a bit of cashew butter instead of peanut butter.

I just heard one of my demo friends say she thinks this product might be discontinued. Now I don't want to start vicious rumors, but if you like this dish, you may want to ask the crew at your local TJ's and find out now, before it is too late.
we just made this last night. added some frozen veggies and it was the perfect meal for two! good level of spice.

Pretty good for an "instant" meal.
I added frozen peas to this and served it with the frozen Thai spring rolls. I think the portions are small, so I use 2 boxes of the tuna curry for hubby and me. One of the quickest meals in my repertoire of recipes.
Cashews sound like a great idea!

Open the pouch and eat as is--very good!

It's wonderful for a quick lunch on a coolish fall/winter day.

i love how quick and easy it is to whip up a thai meal using this and tj's frozen jasmine rice! i kind of wish the tuna chunks were slightly smaller, but it's not a big deal. it tastes pretty authentic to me, but i think panang curry is usually a bit creamier.

I can make a "gourmet" meal in about 15 minutes by heating up a package of the frozen Biryani Rice and stirring in a package of this tuna and some chick peas. Half Indian, half Thai, all delicious!
I don't know what the big deal is about this. I just bought this an hour ago and had it with leftover pad thai noodles. I followed the directions on the pack...empty into a microwave bowl and heat 2 mins...the tuna tasted like stringy leather. The curry sauce was good, with a bit of a spicy bite, but the meat was too chewy and tough. Didn't like it at all. Will not purchase again.

I think this has been discontinued -- can't find it anymore! Anyone else? I LOVE this stuff, ate it for lunch at the office often. I sent an email to TJ's asking them if they're discontinuing it & why but who knows if I'll ever hear back. But maybe if LOTS of people write...?

I never actually got a chance to try it but my roommate bought some and served to his friends, and everyone who ate some got violently ill after eating it. It may of just been an isolated bad pack old Tuna, who knows, but
when he called Trader Joes to tell them what happened they said they would take care of it whatever that meant. The next week the whole section was gone. Coincidence? I will say that any packaged meat product from Southeast Asia should be looked at very carefully
dried noodle packs are one thing but any package containing real meat is rolling the dice a friend of mine who is a 30 yr veteran health inspector even said that vacuum foil packs are no guarantee of keeping things from spoiling any microscopic break in the seal can taint the product canning is usually safer.

This is great with the Melange a Trois frozen bell peppers, microwaved, or even fresh bell peppers. The green curry is also great, the yellow curry is good but not as good as the red and green. As of today, it hasn't been discontinued, but they run out of the red and green varieties frequently.

I never would have tried this, but they had samples. I was shocked it tasted good and was hot. I would have been afraid of tuna in a pouch, but it's shockingly good. I threw some fresh spinach on it. This is a cheap and super fast dinner with flavor! I put a wedge of laughing cow cheese in to add a little creaminess (sounds weird, I do it all the time with soup)
