Champagne Pear Vinaigrette

I saw this item in the Fearless Flier, and it sounded pretty good: It's a mixture of pear puree, champagne vinegar, and gorgonzola cheese. I went to the store the following Sunday and, unfortunately, it was sold out.

I returned the following week, and was able to get a bottle. I was concerned about the expiration date (only a few weeks after the date of purchase), but it turned out not to be a problem -- I finished the bottle in record time! It's very sweet and tart, with a hint of gorgonzola. My wife and I aren't normally big fans of gorgonzola, but there's just the right amount to complement the dressing's flavor without overwhelming it.

Better yet, it contains only 45 calories and 2.5 grams of fat per serving. It's easily one of the best salad dressings I've had -- both light and regular. If you're a fan of fruity salad dressings, I highly recommend it.

It's really good on a spinach salad with mandarin oranges, gorgonzola and candied pecans, for starters. Yum!

The TJ's where I shop was out of this product for about 3 weeks. I finally was able to buy some and it is very tasty. The flavor is light and not overly "fruity". It goes very well with many different types of salad (good on Chicken too).

My husband "discovered" this in our fridge finally and has been using only this dressing since! It really is good and I think the gorgonzola is definitely the cincher!

Does anyone have any eperience or recipies that use the Pear Vinaigarette in a marinade or sauce? I am looking to use it up in a large quantity.

I tried this because of the reviews. We put it on a mixed greens salad with pears and candied walnuts. Personally, I like Marie's blue cheese vinaigrette much better. I might buy it again.

it is very good paired with the salty gorganzola but unless you arent a fan of the sweet balsamic's this isnt for you , i prefer the cilantro dressing

This is my new fav dressing! It's a nice change, it's different than all the other salad dressings. It's also low in fat and calories!

I love this dressing!
I have a major sweet tooth and actually use it a dip for my cut veggies.
I buy a bottle every two weeks.

I really love the flavors of this dressing! It has become my new favorite. Even though it is somewhat sweet, it has a great fresh flavor which I attribute to the pear. Just a little tang from the gorganzola. A perfect match.
but haven't been able to find it for a while...so bummed! Any idea if it's gone for good???
I've never been much of a salad eater until my bff introduced me to this salad dressing. It's so amazing! In fact it's inspired me to eat more salad and make it more fun to eat. Now all my salads have this dressing, plus feta, dried cranberries, and sliced almonds. Delicious!
