Pumpkin Pie Waffles1 cup all-purpose flour2 teaspoons baking powder 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/8 teaspoon ground gloves 1/8 teaspoon ground ginger 1/8 teaspoon salt 1 cup milk 1/2 cup Trader Joe’s Organic Canned pumpkin 1/4 cup dark brown sugar, packed 1 large egg, lightly beaten In a medium bowl combine the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, cloves, ginger and salt. Whisk to blend. In a small bowl combine the milk, pumpkin sugar and egg. Whisk to blend. Pour the pumpkin mixture over the flour mixture and stir until just combined. Preheat waffle iron according to manufacture directions. Put 1/4 cup batter in the center of the grid. Close iron and cook until the steam starts to subside, about 5 - 7 minutes. Open iron and remove waffle. Repeat with remaining batter. Makes 8 regular size waffles. If desired serve with cinnamon butter and/or maple syrup.
