Stemple Sangria

A simple and delicious summer BBQ drink. Just be careful; it's more alcoholic than you think!

1 lemon, sliced
1 orange, sliced
1/4 cup superfine sugar
1 bottle Spanish red wine (I found one for $3.99 and our sangria tasted great)
1/4 cup brandy
2 cups soda water (or 2 small cans)

Place lemon and orange slices, sugar, wine and brandy in a jug. Stir to dissolve sugar. Top with soda water and serve. If the weather is warm you can add an ice cube or two to each glass; don't add it to the jug as it will dilute the Sangria.
