Berry Almond Pistachio Crisp
(0 vote)Rate this listing
1/2 cup Almondina Almonduo (almond and pistachio) cookies, half of pkg
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup flour
6 Tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1 pkg Trader Joes frozen Berry Medley
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup cornstarch
Process Almondina cookies, cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar, and flour in a food processor until cookies are roughly chopped, about 4-5 quick pulses. Drizzle melted butter over the mixture and continue to pulse until the mixture looks like course crumbs. Set aside while preparing fruit.
Place frozen berries, sugar, and cornstarch in a small mixing bowl and toss until berries are coated. Pour berry mixture into a lightly buttered 8-inch square baking dish. Top berries with the crumb mixture and bake in a 375 degree F oven. Bake until fruit is bubbling around edges and topping is golden brown, approximately 30-40 minutes. Cool on a wire rack until warm and serve.
