★★★½
One cup half & half
Two eggs
One egg white
One tablespoon brown sugar
One teaspoon TRADER JOES pumpkin spice
One eighth teaspoon sea salt
Two teaspoons vanilla paste
One half cup maple syrup
One half cup TRADER JOES pumpkin butter
Eight thick slices day old brioche
One tablespoon plus one teaspoon unsalted butter, divided
One tablespoon powdered sugar

Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Place a half sheet pan in the oven.

Whisk the half and half, eggs, brown sugar, pumpkin spice, salt and one teaspoon vanilla paste in a large wide bowl.

In a small saucepan add the maple syrup, pumpkin butter and remaining vanilla paste. Heat over low heat until warm through and well incorporated. Stir occasionally.

Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Soak two slices of bread in the egg mixture for two minutes. Melt one teaspoon butter in the skillet then add the bread slices. Fry for about two minutes a side or until evenly golden brown. Place French toast slices onto the half sheet pan and place in the oven. Continue in the same manner with the remaining slices.

Place French toast slices on a large platter and pleasingly dust with the powdered sugar. Serve the warm pumpkin butter syrup along the side.
