I was skeptical when I first tried this product. After getting hooked on the stuff in Greece on our honeymoon, I had been unable to find a really good tzatziki sauce in the US. This one is great. It is just the right texture and blend of garlic, seasonings and sour cream. I serve it with the Trader Joe's frozen Party Meatballs, or just slather it on fresh rolls. It is a great dipping sauce.

I'm thinking that not all TJ's have this product. I asked for Tzatziki Sauce and they only had a recipe for it. Is this something that comes in a jar or is it seasonal?

It's in the refridgerated section near the veggies, sushi, hummus.
Trader Joe's Doesn't sell this anymore.

I can get it in the local stores (Massachusetts.) I am going again today so I will check. I guess not all stores carry it, then. I hope it won't get discontinued on the East Coast. And I feel bad for those you can't get this delicious dip.
I was browsing the current Southern California Fearless Flyer and there it was: Authentic Tzatziki Dip Only at Trader Joe's. This is what it says:

"Trader Joe's Tzatziki has become a staple in our stores and we just love to talk about it. It's loaded with cucumbers, garlic, dill and mint, with a base of sour cream and kefir cheese, a Mediterranean specialty with yogurt-like flavor and texture. It's a super dip for veggies, a great sandwich spread, perfect stuffed into a pita and a surprisingly delicious salad dressing. We're selling Trader Joe's Tzatziki in a 12 ounce tub for $2.69."

Out of curiosity, I checked a few others. It WAS in the one for New Mexico but NOT in Michigan, illinois or Indiana (MW.pdf -- Midwest) or NE.pdf (New England.)

So the conclusion I come to is that it is regularly in the West Coast stores and sometimes or never in the Midwest or East Coast stores.
Love it. I use it in place of raita to accompany Indian food.
Just bought this last week. Don't know if its just "visiting" or will stay - but I think its a winner.

I agree..we also use this as raita and serve with Indian currys. Also good as a salad dressing.

This stuff is great. Use it on Salmon, served hot or cold (really really good on poached salmon that is cold).
I can't get thru that much of it before it goes bad.

I love the cucumber slices in it. This is great with TJ's dolmades, or I use it with grilled chicken and veggies served on flatbread.

My 4 year old will devour this with some flat bread...
an extra kick...My Sister-in-law boils peas, adds garlic, onion, lemon, and dill. We use it as a sort of, hummus type textured dip. Together on pita chips? Soooooo delicious!

I love this for dipping veggies. The were doing a demo of this served as a dollop atop the Spicy Spinach flatbread pizzas, found in the refrigerated case. It was delicious so I bought both products!

this is very good and authentic as tzatziki sauce gets, very fresh good on top of anything from soups, sandwiches, salads, or as a dipper w/ veggies , i cant get enough!

this is perfect with toasted pita, along with toothpicks that have a kalamata olive, cube of TJ feta, and a piece of roasted red pepper
Finally....found it by accident....bought 2 just in case I was dreaming! Can't wait to try it---just wanted to let you know that the tzatziki sauce has hit central Ohio. My mouth is watering....

It's a staple in our house. Perfect on a sandwich, as a dip with carrots, or on top of wilted spinach at dinner. This is better than the tzatziki at most greek restaurants--big chunks of thinly sliced cucumber, tangy garlic, and dill! It has a permanent place in our fridge.
No really, I can eat this stuff just plain. But I like it with veggies and and pitas too.
