The "nests" are made from carrots and zucchini and get deliciously crispy in the oven. These are quite tasty and are a great appetizer option for vegitarian guests. They make a great base that can be topped with a cooked shrimp or scallop for an interesting appetizer.

i wasn't expecting too much from this, thinking that they'd come out soggy or lack flavor, but i was happily surprised by how yummy this is when baked in my toaster oven. the trick is to heat it until it's crisp around the edges. i believe a dipping sauce is also provided. :D

very good, cook until crispy... yum.
We really aren't the biggest vegetable fans, but both my husband and I really liked these! Great crunch and flavor and the dipping sauce is good on them.

These little things are really really tasty! They're like mild onion rings with other veggies, esp carrots, baked in. Great crunch, not too oily, altough a little high in calories.

My mother introduced these to me. They are soooo good. Get them nice and crispy. The dipping sauce is the best part I think. Try them.

I like these but they are a little on the greasy side.
They are crispy and come with a nice sauce.

i bake these in the toaster oven on 400 for 20 minutes, the last 10 minutes i turn the broiler on for extra crunchy, i could east these alone or with any meal, a great way to have anyone who doesnt like veggies to eat them up :)

A tad greasy but great flavor.

And they make a nice snack too.

This is just what I am looking for, but I do not see a recipe listed!! HELP!!
byJanVT, July 28, 2008
Well heck, I thought there was suppose to be a recipe and not just a comment about a product!! So, disregard the above request. I'll make my own since there isn't a Trader Joe's anywhere in Vermont!!

... to irritate the vegans, please.

These are da BOMB!! I purposely overcook them a bit to get them even crunchier and yummier.. The only problem is there's not enough pieces in a box for a family of 4, so I make 2 boxes and everyone's happy.. Definitely a "must-try" item.

These actually make for a nice presentation as an appetizer or as part of a side dish. I find them a bit greasy and too battery to taste the vegetables but they always disappear as an appetizer.
