Wild Mushroom and Black Truffle FlatbreadLooking for something special? This is it! Mozzarella studded with truffles and wild mushrooms all on a delicious flatbread make this a truly sophisticated dish. The smell from the oven will be enough to make you drool. The box suggests you cut into strips for an appetizer (great idea!) or add a salad and make it a meal (also great idea!) Quite honestly, it's richness and strong flavor will overwhelm and won't do favors for your waistline (13g of fat for 4.5oz) if you eat too much. Leave it for later! It was almost BETTER hours later room temp. Made in Italy! Luxury on a budget is what I would call this. 6-8 minutes in the oven.Submitted on 03/20/2009 by jovanna Number of people who have "favored" this: 0 Read all 5 reviews below -OR-Add your own reviewReviews (5)

My boyfriend and I actually fight over this flatbread--it is that good. I can eat a whole one by myself, but we usually split one and add a salad for a (very) light meal. The mushrooms and truffles smell like heaven, and if you let the cheese get browned and crunchy it's amazing. My favorite thing at TJ's, by far. I will cry if they stop making this.

I was running around today and needed a quick lunch. Grabbed the flatbread from the freezer. It has been in there a few months and our freezer had partially defrosted a few times by accident. So I had low hopes.. I sraped off the ice crystals and left it in way too long -- the cheese was burnt medium brown (although the bottom did not burn.)
STILL DELICIOUS!! Wow. There's the serving secret: let it go stale and then burn it. :) :) I lovem Trader Joe's. byjovanna, March 24, 2010

So good - a little gourmet treat - makes a perfect dinner when paired with a mixed green salad.

Product wasn't nearly as cheesy as the photo on the box. Tasted good, would have been better with more cheese, though. :)
