What a winner!
This recipe won the November 2006 recipe contest and is so quick, easy and delicious - definitely a keeper.

My only comment is that you might think the dip makes this high cal and high fat, but the dip is actually not very heavy at all. The Fried Onion Pieces do add the bulk of the calories and fat. Instead of one cup, I used half a cup of the onion pieces and save about 700 calories. The dish was still spectacular!

No microwave here...
are you just defrosting the green beans? (I've never owned a microwave)

Most frozen veggie recipes specify cooking them at 7 minutes in a microwave, more or less, so I think you are doing more than just defrosting them.
