Natural Mint Cocoa
I always like finding flavored cocoa mixes, so I had to give Trader Joe's mint cocoa a try. It's a non-dairy mix, so you have to prepare it with milk or soy milk in order to get a nice creamy drink (this makes it a viable option for the vegans out there, since so many cocoa mixes contain powdered milk).
I was very pleased with the flavor. The mint is just right; present, but not so overpowering that you can't taste the chocolate. Since the mint flavor comes from actual peppermint oil, it doesn't have that chemical taste that some artificial mint has.
Depending on what type of milk you use to prepare it, this could be considered healthy; the mix has only 110 calories and 1 gram of fat per scoop (which is included), and no cholesterol or sodium.
I'll be buying more of this whenever I need a hot cocoa fix.

I love that this mix allows you to add your own milk. So many mixes contained dry powdered milk, which makes it off limits for those of us who are lactose-intolerant, milk allergic or vegan. This is a wonderful product. And it's fantastic with soy milk or rice or oat milk or whatever. And the peppermint makes it just heavenly. Yum....

I was so happy to spot this on the shelves again this holiday season. There's nothing more comforting when you come in out of the cold. Try adding some to your coffee to turn it into a peppermint mocha - yum!

This is by far the best cocoa we have tried. I have been buying a can a week all holiday season! We love the subtle mint flavor and that it is just sweet enough. I also love the fact that it does not contain hydrogenated oils, unlike the majority of commercial brands, so I feel good serving it to my family.
