Chocolate-Covered Sunflower Seeds

These were…well… interesting. At first your taste buds think “oh, M&Ms!” But then the sunflower taste (and saltiness) comes through and you get a whole different flavor. I love other types of chocolate-covered nuts, but this combination is not for me.

I thought this sounded interesting so I bought them. My Aunt and I found them very addicting. We finished them in one sitting. We recommend them for a very different snack!!!

It's hard to stop munching on these because they are so tiny, so what's a few more? The outside shell is thin and crispy with a very thin soft layer of chocolate covering each sunflower kernel.

Personally, I really like the sweet/salty and strong sunflower flavor. You HAVE to be a sunflower fan to like these obviously. Sometimes chocolate is used to mask the taste of things. Not so here. It is used to complement the taste.

I never thought I would like these. My husband picked them up on his latest trip to TJ. Once I started eating them, I couldn't stop eating them. They have an interesting crunchiness and a unique flavor.

When you buy peanut M&M's you can taste the peanuts. When I had these there was a faint sunflower seed flavor, but mostly just the sweet coating. I'm a huge sunflower seed fan and these did nothing for me unfortunately

These come in such a pretty assortment of colors, most folks buy them for that reason, but the taste is not so good.Candy-coating most things seems to work, but not sunflower seeds.

I think these are really fabulous. I could actually eat the entire package, but I won't. They make a nice addition to a trail mix instead of M&Ms. There is just a little bit of chocolate. Enough to satisfy. Doesn't have all of the artificial colorings. YUM!
