Thai Style Soy Ginger Carrots With Toasted Almonds

...to die for! The carrots, both yellow and orange, are a little crunchy. The sauce is delicious---not too much ginger. These remind me of the flavor of the Mandarin Orange Chicken. I'm so glad that I tried them--easy to prepare and unique.

My husband LOVES these veggies. Especially if I am making couscous with dinner. He loves the fact that there is usually more than enough sauce from the carrots to mix in with the couscous.

If you haven't tried their Fire Roasted Vegetabls in Balsamic Butter Sauce (another veggie blend with the little frozen sauce nuggets right in the bag) then you must seek them out as well. hmmm... better write a review on them...

Excellent dish. I don't even add oil or butter, as the directions tell you to.

II'm seriously addicted to these - I agree with 'hertai' that they're "to die for"! BUT, they're now discontinued! I phoned the customer relations department, and the person I spoke with has put in a request for carrying these again (she said that she actually had some of these at dinner last night, and also likes them a lot!) The item was discontinued because it wasn't selling that well - so, please DO add your request to Trader Joe's to reinstate this item. There is no email request line, but customers can call 626-599-3817, collect if you choose. And if we see it in the stores again, we should buy extras for the freezer, so that the sales will be good. And, we should tell all our friends.

Just picked these up on the East Coast yesterday. Can't wait to try them - will report back.

I purchased these recently and found them very decent, but not excellent. The sauce is excellent but the carrots are too soft for my taste, as are the almonds. I'd buy it again if I was pressed for time, but too many other excellent vegetable options wouldn't make this a "Must Have."

I added these to the rice in a pouch that cooks in 2 minutes in the microwave. What could be easier. A great way to stretch these delicious morsels. Awesome!

These are the most flavorful carrots we have ever tasted. We regularly share our meals with the elderly couple next door, just to make their life a little easier, and they love these carrots. I have also shared the knowledge of the Soy Ginger Carrots with my co-workers, and they give rave reviews of them. So how could they not be in demand! We have missed them sorely. Please bring them back!

I LUV these carrots and I've turned some friends on them too and they love them. We are all VERY dissapointed they have been discontinued. I think the sales were low because they were hard to find. Give them a better spot and watch the sales go up. I had a hard time finding them when they were stocked and a neighbor couldn't find them at all when they were stocked because they were covered up by another product.

PLEEEEEEZE bring them back!!!

Yay, just found them stocked in Las Vegas today. Love to saute them with cabbage. Makes an amazingly delicious side dish. I'll have to try ddawnzer's idea and mix them with the microwave rice packet. They are delicious no matter how one uses them.

I love the convenience of frozen veggies but the ones from the supermarket can be boring because I don't like most of the mixed vegetable combos they offer. These carrots are different and delicious... definitely good enough to serve to company, and different enough to add nice variety to our family dinners.

Very good. Add chicken that has been cooked in the Island Soyaki sauce. Serve it on a bed of spring greens.

They look and sound delicious, but there's some ingredient I can't remember off hand - shrimp powder? Fish sauce? - that makes this veggie dish non-vegetarian! What's up with that???
