Cary, NC store opened today, November 27, as listed.
I added opening date of December 8 for Carson City, CA store. A fan took some pictures:

Yes, the Cary, NC store opened today! I was there at 9:04, and it was a happy and buzzing place. A lady behind me in the checkout line asked, "So do you know about this store? What's the big deal?" I told her so much that she flagged over a crew member and said "This lady needs a lei, she is your biggest fan!" I did get a lei, but I have actually only shopped at TJ's for 2 years, and that was 4 years and 8 months ago in Eugene, OR.
SO GLAD to have one here! I am still wearing my lei, 5 hours later..

Walnut Creek, CA store opened today, 12/1, according to the TJ website. This has to be the most quiet opening ever. I guess when you are the 12th store to be opened in an area, there is not much fanfare.

Morgan Hill, CA and Carson City, NV stores opened today, November 8, as listed.
New stores slated to open in Trader Joe's website are Atlanta (Midtown), GA, Irvine, CA and Templeton, CA. One or more of these stores may not open until January.

Norcross, GA store will open tomorrow, December 15. This is likely the last TJ store open this year, bringing the total to 271 stores. The other stores listed on TJ website Coming Soon page will open early 2007.
I am adding the other TJ stores that opened this year before late August.

Des Peres, MO August
New York, NY 3/17/06
Novato, CA 4/7/06
St Louis Park, MN 5/15/06

Marge, any news on the Edgewater store? Any signs? I heard that the space was given over to Staples instead of Trader Joe's.
