 Trader Joes opening in Hillsboro, Oregon - 2006/09/06 00:04 For all you Trader Joe fans in the Tanasbourne area of Hillsboro, OR. A new store will be opening up in the vacated Joanne's craft store in the Tanasbourne mall sometime between October and December. This should be direct compedition with the new Whole Foods Store opening up in the old Max and Hildi's site.

 Re:Trader Joes opening in Hillsboro, Oregon - 2006/09/16 02:41 not from there, but thinking about moving to corvallis/salem at some point - really hope that's part of the trend - there is NOT a tj's between southern suburbs of portland and eugene as we all know, so it will be interesting to me to see whether they head to salem next.... But is is not going to be opened by December 31 as promised by Alison Mochizuki, corporate spokeswoman for Trader Joe's.

Anyone know when the store will open?

Speaking with an associate at the Beaverton location and she told me that the store is behind with their construction schedule and a possible February opening is fore casted.

I noticed that Hillsboro is now being shown on the Trader Joe's website as "opening soon".

I really wish it would of been opened for Christmas. Living in Orenco, it's horrible dealing with traffic trying to get to Beaverton Towne Square using the 8 or the 10. Forget about the Sunset highway.
