I was there at around 4. We probably saw each other. Were you there when the manager announced that people who parked in the back were blocking a TJ's truck and they had to move their cars. He promised them something for free if they moved their car and the woman in front of me got some $10 Belgian chocolates for free.
I am so happy I have access to Trader Joe's again.

 Re:Chapel Hill store - 2007/12/02 18:56 I was there between 3:00 - 4:00, but I don't remember hearing the announcement over the loudspeaker. I plan on shopping there at least once a week, probably more, but typically on Friday afternoons.

 Re:Chapel Hill store - 2007/12/05 20:28 I went back on Monday at 5:30 and it was much less crowded but pretty well picked over by then. They sorely needed to restock. I'll go back again this Friday afternoon and see if the crowds are down, but I suspect the interest will remain heightened for the next few weeks, maybe even through the holidays.

 Re:Chapel Hill store - 2007/12/30 01:52 We're so glad to have this store! Our first experience with a TJs and we've not gone back to our usual store. The crowds do vary, but I think evenings are worse than day time hours. I'm retired and this is the first time in my long life that I've relied upon frozen foods! Our freezer is usually bare of everything except ice and ice cream. Now, it's completely full -- no reason to go out to a Mexican, Chinese or Indian restaurant anymore. We're saving so much money now.
