 Beer recommendations... quick! :) - 2007/12/18 01:57 I'm going to be putting together a beer basket for a Christmas gift. I wanted some different beers, so I thought I'd give TJ's a shot.

Any beer recommendations??? What are some favorites?

 Re:Beer recommendations... quick! :) - 2007/12/18 10:22 I'd recommend Mackeson's Stout. It's one of my new favorites. This bit from a tasting review summarizes it well....

"[Mackeson's Stout] pours a very dark brown, near black, with a little lacy, loose, cream-coloured head. The aroma is tarry, burnt-curranty and coffeeish..."

 Re:Beer recommendations... quick! :) - 2007/12/20 02:31 My local TJs just got the 2007 Vintage Ale in. Its a seasonal special, a brown belgian-style ale and is absolutely delicious. 750mL bottle is just $5!
