 Does TJ's offer maternity leave? - 2009/10/17 14:26 I know the benefits are really great for part-timers, but I'm wondering, since I don't think I've ever seen any pregnant female crew members. Since everyone does everything, I imagine this would be difficult, but TJ's seems like they truly don't discriminate.

Any TJ's employees want to weigh in?

 Re:Does TJ's offer maternity leave? - 2009/11/01 23:50 Its a short term disability, benefits provided via STD insurance, terms vary by state. There's a very small premium per month.

There are lots of expecting crew members and lots of stuff to do in the store that isn't so physical, if that's what you want...it's really up to the lady and their captain.

 Re:Does TJ's offer maternity leave? - 2009/11/03 16:52 I was a pregnant crew member during 2008 and aside from the regular insurance plan covering o.b. visits, hospital, mat. leave, etc. a short term disability plan also helped when my o.b. took me out of work a month or so before I delivered. In addition, management was extremely accommodating with scheduling, breaks, and tasks I performed during my work day (with more demo, H.P., and office work, less stocking and regi. towards the end of my term). Hope that helps.
