TJ's Egg Prices up again - 2008/02/19 03:12 One of the things that lured me into Trader Joe's was the eggs...a dozen XLs at $0.99 was hard to beat. A few months ago they got bumped up to $1.19, still not bad. I went there last week and the eggs are now $1.69...yikes. In the great scheme of things, that's not much, but it does make me no longer automatically think of a trip to TJ's when eggs are on the grocery list.

Re:TJ's Egg Prices up again - 2008/02/21 08:45 *sigh* a lot of foods I noticed went up. TJ beer is up $1, the chili and lime peanuts I think went up $.50. Its a bummer...but I don't think anything is out of line with the market.

Re:TJ's Egg Prices up again - 2008/02/24 05:08 prices at all grocery chains are rising. The cost of gas, the bad weather on crops, the increasing demand for a decreasing supply are all causing the prices to rise. Still, the prices are inexpensive and you don't have to wait for a sale or use a member card. No complaints here.

Re:TJ's Egg Prices up again - 2008/04/08 11:00 I wish I had link for other web sites/magazines/news organizations; but prices are going up everywhere. Trader Joe's will still have the best prices on all staple items..... beer, milk, eggs and charles shaw. Beer prices everywhere are going up due to the hop and barley shortage as many farmers are growing corn or soy for biofuel and being help by the government; which is also affecting prices of everything else.
