what's with the fresh salsa??? - 2008/07/12 01:21 I'm a big fan of the TJ fresh salsa... However... I have a puzzling issue. It sure seems to me that they make their fresh salsa from the discarded tomato tops that were removed in order to make something else. While I know I should applaud this practice in theory, cuz I hate waste and all, it just seems like there is a bizarre amount of tomato tops in this salsa. Like, every pint has at least 30 or more chunks of tomato cut from from the stem. I still buy it, but I find myself picking through it in order to count the stem pieces. TJ is making me obsessive-compulsive! Ha, OK, I may have too much time on my hands, because I am recovering from surgery, so I actually went through the effort to find a site to post my amazing finding... Has anyone else out there uncovered this obvious conspiracy???
