Fried Onion Pieces - 2009/01/12 00:35 I purchased a can of the Trader Joe's Fried Onion Pieces around Thanksgiving. Instant attraction. I have been buying them through the holiday season and using them on salads, in cooking as seasoning or burger topper or pasta casserole addition, and a light between meal snack. These are one of the finest salad toppers I can think of. Good stuff!

Problem... it's a seasonal item. I just bought one of the last two cans at my local Trader Joe's. Any chance Trader Joe's could have them all year? I would definitely make it a staple, but I don't know if people only use them for green bean casserole during the holiday season. May I suggest.... they rock and are good all year and... and... are useful in many many many ways.

Re:Fried Onion Pieces - 2009/11/08 02:04 I love them too! Sadly, Trader Joe's has limited shelf space and short list of items that get to keep their place all year long if at all (ex. one time buys, items discontinued because they didn't sell well enough)

The constant changes, annoying though they may be, are one of the things that keep Trader Joe's filled with new interesting products at good prices.

That being said, you can always e mail the company from the Trader Joe's website with your request. If they get enough e mails that say the same thing they may just go ahead and do it.

And remember! You can always ask your Trader's to order and hold a whole case or more of your favorite holiday product to tide you over until the next time.
